Potty strike
It's actually rather endearing (in a way that only parents can use the word "endearing"!) While pooping, Rowan has a spot behind the couch where he goes for privacy while doing the doo in his pull-ups. But he refuses to try it on the potty. What gives? The pee-pee situation is ok, he even stays dry all night some days. But why the block to going poo-poo in the potty?
Any ideas on how to get him to the next level?

It really cannot be hurried! Dont even try and make yourself crazy. Mine refused to cooperate until he was good and ready. You cant be "Learnin him his toilet trainin"!
Once upon a potty book for boys was a help in that we used it for toilet training conversation starters with him sometimes. He still loves the book. He can quote from it verbatim!

Haha. Rowan loves his potty book too - "Everybody poops". The goal is to have him potty-trained by mid-summer. Ah, the best-laid plans of mice and men.
